May 11, 2021: It has been almost a decade since 50-year-old Balaraj started treatment for rheumatoid arthritis. When his disease allows him, he earns an income by driving a rented autorickshaw. A benevolent friend houses Balaraj and his family rent-free. His wife is employed as a domestic maid. The older daughter did not go to college due to financial constraints. The younger daughter is finishing school. The monthly cost of medicine (excluding blood work) is ~ Rs. 4,500.

Apr 30, 2022: Balaraj is on regular medication. He currently does not have any major health issues related to his illness.
